Hello... a newbie on this forum
Help please, Avast 17.9.2322 has deleted a couple of important emails into the virus chest and is not giving me the option to restore them. The emails are from the UK Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency and one of them holds my new vehicle registration.
I have been into the virus chest and found the drop down option to submit them to Avast for checking but, having done that, the drop down list has stopped working and not giving me any options to restore them... right click is not working either.
Help please... I need these files!

Been back into Avast ... for about the fourth time and, this time, the option to restore was there on the drop down menu... did so... said Whoops Error, files can not be restored but when I go back to Thunderbird, they are restored and when I close and reopen virus chest, it is empty!
Disaster averted but strange behaviour... and your verification letters are horrendous! and the listen to almost as obscure
