Dear All,
For the last week, on each and each daily scan, avast detects:
Win32 agent-gen [trj]
in:
Windows\schedLgu.txt SchedLgu.txt rgngfa:$DATA
but is unable to delete it as it encountered an error.
I would much appreciate your kind advice on how to get rid of this pest.
Thanks a lot,
Myron

Hm, looks like NTFS stream...

but is unable to delete it as it encountered an error.
What is the error ?
I don't know if an avast boot-time scan would be able to handle this NTFS Stream problem if it is as RejZoR suggests. But it would be worth a try to schedule a boot-time scan.

The file being used by another application.
Thanks

:) Hi "Fan" :
Have you tried using the good & FREE anti-trojan "Ewido"
from www.ewido.net/en ?
And for that "error message", consider using "Unlocker"
from http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ !?

Thanks very much and I do appreciate your prompt replies FreewheelinFrank and SpiritsongsĀ :) .
I will try at first HJT as I got it already, but will download also the two programs mentionned. Once my intervention completed, i will run Avast! check and will be glad to report you with the outcome.
Once again, thanks for your replies and ..Long Live Avast.. !!!

Windows in its infinite wisdom protects files in use (even malware), so it is likely that avast! can't delete or move files in use. So schedule boot-time scan in avast's menu. This should ensure that the file isn't in use and avast should be able to deal with it.
HJT doesn't clean anything just gives raw data but Ewido is a good trojan hunter so I would suggest you do an avast boot-time scan, run ewido from safe mode, reboot on completion and then run HJT as there is likely to be less clutter to be reported.
