I want to test my antivirus. Someone knows where I can download some virus files (more than one...) for testing?

Well... do you mean large number of infected samples?
Maybe RejZor or other users have a 'particular' set of samples...
Why don't you just open a P2P application and start to download cracks and keygens ;D ;D

Yes! thats what I want to do, use a large number of infected samples.. but I don´t have any :(
I could do that with keygens.. but to I´d probably be like years before I can find a large sample.. (maybe I´m lazy..)

What is the purpose of your test?
What happens when you get infected ?
This is most likely as you could be exposed to unknown samples or likely spyware/adware. Unless this is a test system
What is your backup/recovery strategy ?
Unfortunately this is an AV support forum rather than a virus distribution service. Considering you are no longer using avast.

I´ve already changed my antivirus. I still read this forum, but like 10 days ago my computer got infected, and before of that I asked about making better the avast detection and many forum members replied that my post was like idiot cause´ avast was good enough, that asking for heuristics or for getting better the detection rate was a nonsense, etc etc.
I liked comodo, but I think it still needs more time to get better. I´m using bitdefender now.
I guess you could ask on the BitDefender forum ?

Purpose: test by myself different av.
I have made a backup on dvd.
This is why I want to test bymyself, I want to compare BD with Avast by myself.
And yes, I´m asking on many forums.

bitdefender has much more definitions than avast but this doesn't mean avast's protection is bad

I think most developers are necessarily guarded about who they release samples to. Without a legitimate use and demonstrated ability to contain the virii there's a lot of potential for trouble. Nothing against you personally, but I'm guessing for a "home test" you will run into some reluctance.

You could only perform such an experiment, if you can make sure that you do not endanger others. From this follows that a lot of viruses that you can spread when detection fails is not a policy for you to follow. When people test viruses they do that under pre-conditioned conditions, in a virtual surrounding, and with special tools that can analyze what happens. Even under such circumstances, you are never to be connected to the Internet.
If you are an irresponsible person, you look on virus forums for links that people give to live viruses, or even better, you take down all protection from your machine (av, at, fw, as), and hang it unprotected onto the Internet, with a honeypot installed, then you can have all the fun without much effort, your machine has been turned into a zombie owned by malcreants, unworkable for the user, and a source of infection and spam for people that do not know how to defend themselves against this. Do you really want to do that?
Answer this question for yourself. I do not think this a wise idea.
If you like to follow another path. You learn about searching effectively, analyze threads on anti-malware forums, learn about the workings of various malware, cleansing routines like hjt, killbox, and become a malware fighter. Learn to analyze and write script, like java, C++ or delphi, Unite the ranks of the malware fighters, learn to help fighting malware by standing on the shoulders of those that came here before you. You do not have to download viruses, or be an author of viruses to be a good malware fighter. These things have nothing to do with each other. Boy, you do not like to start from the wrong end, will ye?
