Title: My Router
Post by: midnight on February 20, 2018, 12:17:56 PM
I have a Cisco router and when I ran a network scan it showed see screenshot. I run that scan almost every day and this never showed up until yesterday.  My firmware needs to be updated but I don't know how to do that so I called Comcast and a tech will be here this afternoon to either update the firmware or install a new router.

Anyone know how to update the firmware?

EDIT:  Typo

The Comcast tech support person came here and he told me that my router's firmware is updated automatically, also said Avast is what's causing the network issue..

He also said Avast would put viruses on my computer.  I told him I had been using Avast for years and had never gotten a virus.  He got on some website and Avast popped up and showed threat detected.  He closed that so I didn't see what the threat detected was.
