Title: How do I get Avast clean up to do a scan
Post by: REDACTED on February 24, 2018, 02:56:55 PM
My Avast license was automatically renewed, but I can't figure out how to run a clean up.
Instructions on the e-mail say go to Settings  - update - program . There is no option in settings for this (just  change theme and language settings).
I don't know if it's running or not. How can i tell?
I'm not tech savvy and I'm totally flummoxed.
Can anyone help please?

If you use Avast Antivirus, you can perform an initial scan by opening your Avast user interface
and then going to Performance ▸ Cleanup Premium ▸ Scan Now.

CleanUp can no longer be found in the Avast interface.
If you have a CleanUp subscription, you will get a separate icon on your screen after installation.
You are right that in the latest version of Avast Security it is impossible to update the CleanUp program.
I did succeed, but the strange thing is that I can't see anywhere anymore when I have to renew my subscription.
My advice is to contact Avast: https://support.avast.com/en-us/contact/enter/paid_pc
