Title: after 20+ hours still only 44% done, this was after a re-install

I use the Free version, I have for over a year with no problem and its not let anything attach my PC, works great.

I'm inclined to think the last version update is the problem, ver. 18.1.2326.

It used to take just a few hours for a full scan, now I've yet to run a complete one. THe ones I ran I canceled cause they where around 25% done and ran for 8-10 hrs. In history I checked the ones that I ran and details say they ran for " a few second " even though the last scan shows 771009 files and 55,768 folders checked.

I ran repair, didn't help, so last night I uninstalled/reinstalled and ran scan, that scan has been running 20+hrs and only 44% done.

NOTE: before I did an uninstall/re-install I did notice in the protection tab under full scan square the status bar showed it was running even though I did not start a scan and I do not use schedule either. Even when I rebooted my PC and opened Avast the full scan status bar was running.

so does anyone have any idea whats going on?

2-1/2 hours have passed and Its now at 49%, 4 more %. Something must be wrong with this version.

Anyone know how I can go back to the last version?
