Title: (Mac) Internal error message = Avast problem, not macOS problem?
Post by: hmac on February 28, 2018, 10:46:55 PM
I’ve got two times this ”internal error” message randomly when booting up my mac (one about week ago and the other today). I’m running MacOs 10.13.3 and using Avast 13.4.

I’m bit confused what do these internal error messages mean in general. Are they indicating that there is something wrong with MacOs (is it possible?) or just with Avast installation?

I've read this is some kind of timing error? I have also log files if needed.

Everything seems to work when checking Avast despite the messages. Should I still reinstall Avast?

could you provide a screenshot or more details about how the "internal error" message shows up?
Thank you.

I think it was the same message though in different language.

Hello,
this is a known bug, caused by combination of timing and hardware configuration, which will be fixed in the next release (13.5). The popup is spurious, there is no internal error happening.
Kind regards,
