Nope you aren't the only one. I noticed today that I kept failing on a deployment, (file not found) then I tried updating definitions and I'm getting "Unexpected unresolvable error in definitions update job" messages.
What's going on here?

We're facing an issue in the VPS Release process. ThreatLabs Operations and Release Engineering team are working on a fix. ETA for the final fix is Monday or sooner. Streaming updates are not affected.

Yes, but I am not sure, that PC which was not running whole week, will be able to download the every streaming updates after our last VPS version 180227-6!
Therefore I have stopped the "avast! Enterprise Mirror HTTP Server" service. And managed avast! clients outside our intranet now can download new VPS from avast! servers (Selection see in the attached picture).
The service "avast! Enterprise Administration Server" stays running - and I am able to control, which machines has already downloaded new VPS.
And that is interesting - our AEA server cannot download any new VPS, but my NB with managed client (now without access to the AEA server) has downloaded VPS 180304-0

I have the same error. Last update 27Feb 9PM that I downloaded to local AEA mirror. I continue to get:

still no resolution from Avast.
I have eight sites running EPS with AEA. One of those sites is updated, and its mirror log shows it is working correctly. The other seven are stuck on 180227.
I had a reply to the ticket I submitted - clear the mirror folder and replace mirror.def and servers.def. Did not fix the problem.
Has anyone heard anything further from Avast support?

Still the same issue this side as well.
Tried everything from all posts and google searches on the issue. Still tanks when downloading jollyroger.vpx . Had to turn mirror off and re direct client ends through proxy server to internet to get updates.
Any word yet from Avast??? Some guys sites will be sitting with week old defs by now!

2. Add vps_only=1 under the [mirror] INI section.
3. Run C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Enterprise Administration\mirror\mirror.exe
In theory this should instruct the mirror to update VPS only, as opposed to Program+VPS and it should complete.
Note: If it works for you and the clients update, please make sure to remove it when Avast announce a fix. This option will prevent you from creating installation packages or deploy the software remotely.

We have a number of customers experiencing this issue, including ourselves.
This fix worked for me. Is there any update on a real fix so I can undo the patch?

We've had the same issue. Adding the line to mirror.ini allowed for the definitions to update. Hoping to hear about a final solution.

What is going on? We have hundert of customers with this issue and paying a lot of money for non working VPS Updates?

My AEA server is up to date, I have reverted mirror.ini and the synchronization goes OK
I think so that problem is gone .......... ???

You should not need to change the mirror.ini now. The issue was the wrong TTL for file 'jollyroger.vpx' on the CDN which is now fixed.

Maybe you are right, but my server does not know about that. With "vps_only=1" in mirror.ini the regular synchronization ends with this:

With "vps_only=1" I was able to do only manual synchronization running "C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Enterprise Administration\mirror\mirror.exe"
Without "vps_only=1" in mirror.ini works the planned mirroring

Thanks very much - this provided a temporary fix during the outage. Avast has since fixed the issue on their end.

Avast has fixed the issue. I was able to download from the mirror to AEA today. Took 3 attempts as the first 2 failed but I finally got virus definition 180306-02 (March 06, 2018) downloaded. I just noticed local managed clients received the update from the AEA as well.
