Title: Popup on computer start
Post by: harold on June 15, 2006, 05:17:19 PM
Any reason why I get a popup every time my computer starts that indicates it cannot connect to downloadxx.avast.com?  Today it was download40.avast.com and then download31.avast.com.

The manual update works fine, everything else appears to work fine and this problem only occurs on boot up.

Maybe you should change (or add) AlwaysConnectedWaitSeconds value into the [InetWD] section of avast4.ini file.

You could set the number of seconds to wait before attempting to update. The default is 30 but it may not be enough in some DSL systems. In this case, you can try increasing this e.g. to 60 (1 minute). That should be enough.
