Title: Avast hangs uninstall program
Post by: VBWriter2 on March 07, 2018, 12:41:37 AM
When I am trying to uninstall a program, Avast will hang the uninstaller and NOT let it do it's job!
Is there anyway that the Avast program team can ADD a "CONTINUE" function button to the prompt
that appears when it detects what it thinks is malicious?  Please consider this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAH!  How else do you remove a program?  Obviously through the (Windows 8.1) Programs & Features options.

What difference does it make which program?  If I click on any program in the list, then click the "uninstall" option at the top -
if the program was scanned when it was installed and found to be "trustworthy", AND all updates the same,

installation should go quickly and smoothly.  Especially since the programs uninstaller is deleting the program.
I know what you're going to say: "maybe the uninstaller want's to delete other files?"  That's what I said above.

Doesn't Avast scan the file when installed or updated?  If so and the file was found clean, why does it take so long to uninstall?
I am NO FUCKING DUMMY!
