Title: Can I delete this virus from my work pc?
Post by: REDACTED on March 08, 2018, 03:20:35 PM
Hello, while at my workplace, I was on the pc that I use helping another worker to delete a virus from its pendrive using cmd commands, each time you plugged the device it would show an direct access of the pendrive itself, and you have to click this "direct access" in order to see your files. It would also make your pendrive really slow to read and write files.

While doing so (this pc didn't use avast) it infected both my pendrive and the pc that I use at work. I did some experiments on other pcs and formating my pendrive and got to the conclusion that the pc got infected and each time I put an usb drive on it, the device would be contaminated.

So then, I installed avast on the pc (since I been using this antivirus on my home laptop for almost a decade) and did an smart scan on the workplace pc, and now each time I put a pendrive it detects the virus and deletes it, however it doesn't solve completely the issue with the pc since it didn't kill the virus that keeps infecting the usb drives in the first place.

This is the virus when is detected on the virus chest:

When it detects the threat, each time it appears with a diferent file name I really want a way to solve this, especially becauce of the probability of other pcs being infected with this virus. Thanks for reading.
