Title: virus chest does not work properly

Hey

I did a boot time scan today. the scan found some files and moved them to the virus chest. Now I can't recover the files.

Besides, there's a virus in there that I can't delete.

How can I get some files back and delete the Virus?

... I know how to use the virus chest, but whenever I click restore it says "Whops, error occurred. This file can' t be restored."

and if I try to delete the virus, nothing happens. But everything else can be deleted but not restored.

these are all .exe files
it says on all files "Win32:Malware-gen"
Only on the Virus "IDP.Generic"

Oh man, Avast didn't put the files in the chest virus at all.  :o
Avast copied the files into the virus chest hahaha
I can't recover it because there's the file already.

Just some general advice on files in the virus chest, 'there is no rush to delete files in the virus chest,' a protected area where the file/s can do no harm. 

The files in the virus chest are encrypted and the file name is changed, so viewing the virus chest location in Windows Explorer you can't see the original file name. If you open the virus chest in Avast it shows the full file name and original location.
