Title: Important update for existing SafeZone Browser users
Post by: Will465 on April 05, 2018, 01:11:03 AM
Hello SafeZone users!

For those of you who have been waiting for the latest version of our browser, renamed to Avast Secure Browser, the wait is nearly over.

We’re excited to announce that we are rolling out this as an automatic update to anyone who already has SafeZone installed over the coming weeks - there is no need for you to take any action. You will be able to enjoy the ad-free browsing and Bank Mode you’ve always had. Plus we now have even better security and privacy. All these features are easy to configure from the new Security & Privacy Center, accessible from clicking on the Avast logo top right of the browser window.

We look forward to listening to your feedback and hope you enjoy the faster, more secure and private browsing experience.

If you are unhappy with this version or you no longer wish to have a browser by Avast installed on your machine you can follow steps here (https://support.avast.com/article/30/) to uninstall it from your computer.

Hello,

My update from Avast SafeZone Browser to Secure Browser went fine but my Previous Session & Tabs are all gone without any warning! Is there any manual way to restore my previous session from SafeZone Browser to Secure Browser?

Thanks for your help.

Hi folks.

Week is gone, and still no auto-update. So... i have 2 questions:

1) Should i do it in a "handle mode", or i must wait a bit more?

2) If "handle mode"... should i delete my old version "Avast SafeZone", before instalation?

Thanks.

Having the same issue - are we to expect any support from Admins on this one?

I installed the new browser on two computers. Not impressed at all. It's not faster, it's a lot slower to load (on startup) and to load web sites. It also took 10+ minutes to install on one computer.

Tried it, uninstalled after trial testing.
It's no different from any other browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge) I currently use, with no compelling reason to change to it.

This is just getting very annoying. I lose my tabs on windows start like 2x a week. This is getting out of hand. I can see that this is not something new and AVAST is not fixing this very serious issue. Unfortunately this gives me no choice but to completely abandon this browser.
