Title: Avast SecureLine not connecting to any location

Win7 HP Laptop, Avast Premiere, SecureLine, Malwarebytes Premium.


I have just renewed my Secureline license for 3yrs.  I have noticed in the last few days I cannot connect to any location.  I have uninstalled thru Avast Premiere as directed and then reinstalled.  It tries to connect and after about
40 seconds it says connection has failed. Sorry it is not possible to establish connection. I have tried a number of locations in US and UK.  It does not matter.  It will not connect!!!! What else can I try to get this working? Thanks!

Did you try to insert your new vpn license while connected and online?

I installed the stand alone version of Avast SecureLine and now can connect.  So why does the Secureline component not work in the Avast Premiere module? I have noticed that the icon in the tool bar that represents the SecureLine in Premiere never shows the red X when disconnected.  Does this have something to do with it?

What I get when I disconnect is a white lightbulb with two radiating ellipses.  At least I used to. 

I get the white lightbulb only before the first vpn connection, otherwise the picture attached below remains as if it it connected.  New bug introduced with the latest AIS version I believe.  It does not change back after disconnection as it did before.

Why your new license does not work through Premier is a mystery unless that license is in use on another one of your systems.  One vpn license per system, no multiple use licenses available.

I only use Secureline on this laptop so its not a license issue.  I do remember that not all locations would work when it was working.  And it crapped out one time when i tried to disconnect. Maybe something happened at that point. (The slider switch thing would not move over to off position) But you would think uninstalling and reinstalling would fix that?  Anyway it should work inside Premiere and the fact it does not is a problem for me.  I need something else to try to get this working. Thanks in advance!

Holy crap after jumping through multiple hoops uninstalling/installing full Avast product I was able to get it working. 

Since when is Malwarebytes not compatible with Avast? The Avast Premiere program classifies it (Malwarebytes) as an anti-virus but I always thought it was added protection from malware?  So can both of these run at same time?  No one said anything as I stated what I was running in first post?

Cool thanks for those links.  I went in and made the exclusions to avoid conflicts in the future.

Just for clarification, The mutual exclusions are only needed on some systems, not all.

I'd suggest to apply them anyway, even when no obvious problems occur - they can prevent slowdowns.
