Question:
Chrome 66 patched some vulnabilities. Avast browser is still version 65. Has Avast implemented the security changes of Chrome 66 in the Safe Avast Browser? I really hope you did, otherwise (theory) the Avast Brrowser Safe browser is vulnarable to exploits (making it a not so safe browser).
Please explain how you manage to keep it safe while lagging in version.
Regards Kees

Until they fix the auto update, you need to go here (https://www.avast.com/en-us/secure-browser) and download and install the latest version.

You would think it would be vital for the inbuilt updater to work.
Ridiculous that you have to manual check, hunt around to see if their is any updates . Or use a third party updater checker like sumo to check.
Even avast update checker does not list it.
So much for a secure browser.
Edit: latest update version is 67.0.640.99 just updated

You are correct in stating that this is a pain.
It's still more secure than the Chrome and other browsers due to it's added security features
and the Bank Mode feature. :)

Yes, they finally got the auto update process applied. :)

Yes ASB automatically (magically) updated even tho I did not use the browser.

It must be the Browser can update in the background without initiating a version check/update.
