Title: [Resolved] Avast Rescue Disk - Cancelling Scan?
Post by: REDACTED on May 25, 2018, 12:54:00 AM
What's up folks. I've got a quick question Im hoping I can get answered here.

Basically, Im running a Avast Rescue Disk scan on a laptop, but this scan is taking absolutely forever to complete. Started it like an hour ago at the time of writing this and its not even got past 1% in the scan time and its stuck on this one folder. I think its because I selected the option to "scan archives" or something similar, which is increasing the time.

Anyways, Im wondering if its possible to cancel the scan? Like does just clicking the x in the top left allow you to cancel it, and is it safe to do so? And can I instantly re-run a new scan from the Rescue Disk without needing to reboot it? Also, does the standard option also take a long time, or is it much shorter?
Thanks in advance everyone.

EDIT: Decided to just click the button and its let me restart the scan, seemingly without any issue. So problem solved. Feel free to lock this thread.
