Title: "Danger" notification

How do I get rid of this stupid 'you are in danger' crap and the red x on my tray icon? I'm not ready to purchase this yet and scare tactics only make me not want to purchase it at all.

The "You Are In Danger" is a notification your real-time antivirus shields are not running or protecting you.

You can confirm this by opening the avast program window (gui) and attempting to open Protection>Core Shields.

You should see the window box attached below:

If not, then you will need to do a Repair of Avast by going to Programs and Features and selecting Repair followed by a reboot.

• Reboot and then do a Repair of Avast followed by a second reboot.
