Okay, I searched the forums for this topic, and it hasn't been addressed since 2004, but I'm having the same problem. The program was accidentally installed by my partner while doing an an update to another program. We attempted to do a normal windows uninstall, which does nothing. I then went to the forums, saw that you have an uninstall utility, downloaded it and ran it. The uninstall utility hangs every time we try to run it and does *nothing*. Program still installed, nothing changed. I read the forum again and saw that some people were saying that i needed to update to the most current version and then uninstall. Okay, so I got the latest version, installed it, and then tried to run the uninstall utility again. The utility still hangs immediately after starting and does *nothing*. Program still installed, nothing changed. I tried to do a windows uninstall again, and again, nothing happens. I want this piece of crap *off* my computer like, yesterday.
ETA: I have also tried stopping the service via services, and it doesn't stop. I have tried stopping it in task manager and it still doesn't stop. How do I get rid of this thing???

Okay, finally figured it out. What's not clear in the instructions for running the uninstall utility is that I had to boot to safe mode *first* before running the utility. Once I did that, the program uninstalled just fine. I will say, however, that encountering this much difficulty in doing a *simple uninstall* makes me not want to ever use your products, and I will certainly advocate against anyone else ever using them.

You shouldn't have to boot into safe mode before running it. When run in normal mode, it should handle the boot into safe mode.

It *should*, yes, but it doesn't. As I noted in my first post, running it in normal mode does nothing; the program just hangs for as long as you want to let it hang.

I appreciate your concern, but this is a new computer with a clean-installed Win 10. I'm also running KAV and MWB concurrently, and have done full scans with both with no hits or issues. Not that something couldn't hide, but it would be unlikely.
