I have been unable to access www.avast.com to register my free version of avast!
I have a solid internet connection and all other web sites that I visit are working. I like avast and would like to continue using it but I have no idea how to register it.
When I try to visit www.avast.com I get the standard error "This page cannot be displayed"
Please help.

same thing happened to me 10 minutes ago but it works fine now

this has been going on for over a month now...I have tried to visit the site dozens of times and it is not available...

ok...found the solution by searching this forum...it was a host file problem...

Hi Jeremy,
Having avast! in your host file could possibly mean there is malware on your computer.
Are you blocked from accessing any other security related web sites? See if you can access these:
