Title: Avast does not start up automatically
Post by: REDACTED on July 15, 2018, 02:52:12 PM
Hi all,

I've had a problem with the Avast Free not starting automatically when my PC is switched on.
I've followed a number of troubleshooting steps seen on other forums, including, uninstalling from scratch after running the cleaner utility, but the issue remains.

If I manually open Avast Free after I've logged into Windows 10 then the UAC pops up. I have to accept that then Avast Free will open.

I have seen this issue on a few forums but none of the suggestions on those forums have resolved it on my desktop.

Any other suggestions to make it automatically start on startup?

Many thanks!

Have you removed any previous used antivirus according to vendors instructions before installing avast?

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:
