Title: Veeam Agent and Avast Business (Cloud Console)
Post by: REDACTED on August 01, 2018, 03:29:11 PM
G'day guys,

I have a critical issue with Avast Business. The firewall is blocking the Veeam Agent from starting.
I'm using the Cloud solution having migrated to the Avast Business from Avast Endpoint Protection (which was working great).

I have tried making all types of port rules and program rules and nothing works.
There is no easy way for me to see between time X and Y this program tried to run and the firewall blocked it.
I have tried using the Cloud Console to force the changes. I've tried using the local and adding every conceivable thing to allow the Veeam Agent to run.
In the end the only time it actually runs is when I turn the Firewall OFF!!!!

Surely this isn't such a difficult thing?
The error that Veeam Agent talks about is that it cannot connect to the RPC.

FYI - Veeam Agent connects to the same computer for the console (so a localhost connection). It then backs up to the NAS. Then does a copy to the cloud.
None of this works when the Firewall is on.
Please help this is insanely annoying and causing all sorts of disruptions.

Also some feedback for getting support:
- No phone is a joke
- No chat is even worse

Same scenario is for me too. I'am only using on-premise console. Did you find any solution?
