Title: WARNINGs in vpn log file
Post by: Shamino on August 12, 2018, 11:51:11 PM
Hello

I have been wondering whether I should be
worried about two warnings that are every
time present in the vpn_engine.log file.

They are, first:

OVPN: WARNING: this configuration may cache passwords in memory -- use the auth-nocache option to prevent this

and second, as the last entry after vpn connection
has been established:

OVPN: Day Mon xx hh:mm:xx 2018 WARNING: Failed to renew DHCP IP address lease on TAP-Windows adapter: The semaphore timeout period has expired.   (code=121)

My OS is Windows XP Home Edition sp3, still
receiving updates from Microsoft.

What do you think?

Hello, anyone?

Can I "use the auth-nocache option" somehow? Or is everything
ok as it is despite the warning text?

How can the semaphore timeout period be extended? Should it be?

VPN is on and working nicely but these warnings bug me.
