Title: Today my Avast browser, with all my bookmarks and passwords, completely reset
Post by: REDACTED on August 13, 2018, 06:25:51 PM
August 13, 2018, my computer shut down.  When booted up, my avast browser opened with a completely new look, and had lost all my bookmarks and passwords.  No password orange key in the upper right corner.

What happened?

Where is the old version, and how did the new version get on my computer?

I had a backup of the bookmarks from weeks ago, which I have now loaded.  The browser is different, but my bookmarks are mostly back.  Mostly

ALL my passwords are lost.  Why?  What happened to my old Avast browser?

Are the passwords somewhere on my hard drive?  I'm really lost!

Is this going to happen again?  If so, why use the browser?

I also thought Avast was discontinuing the browser . . . If so, why is there this new look?

Thanks for helping.

Scott

I don't understand.  Is that link supposed to be an answer to my problem?  I don't follow it.
