Title: Avast logo in MenuBar not visible
Post by: REDACTED on August 29, 2018, 03:16:38 PM
App runs smooth and I have no other issues. But the Avast logo is not visible in my MenuBar at the top of the screen.
In the Preferences window pane of Avast the box to show the logo is ticked on ☑︎. Turning it on and off does not help.
Any idea how to fix this?

I have this exact same problem. Running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.3 on a MacBook Pro 16". Show icon in menu bar is checked in Avast Preferences. This is what I see when the icon is not clicked/clicked. The icon only appears if I click on the area of the menu bar that is blank.

Does anyone know how to fix this, other than to turn off the option to show it in the menu bar altogether?

did you by any chance change to dark/light mode recently? There used to be a bug that caused the tray icon to be invisible. Issue fixes after restart.

Yes, thanks. It appears to be working normally now.
