Title: When is the line secure?
Post by: REDACTED on September 08, 2018, 03:06:45 PM
I have a 60-day trial version for Windows PC - I have 2 questions that I would like some help with  :)

1. Do I have to click on the "You can now use the Internet anonymously. Open browser (link)" in the UI, or on the VPN pop-ups on my screen, to open my browser on a secure line? Or can I just open my browser via the Taskbar like I normally do, and still be on a secure line (provided of course that the system tray icon says 'connected')?

2. And how about when I click on any link in my e-mail program (Windows Live Mail) - when the browser opens up from there - is the line secure then (again, provided that the system tray icon says 'connected')?

Hi, in short, as soon as you're connected to SL you're protected.

Thank you  :)

How about when I visit a website while connected to SL, and after I finish my business there, I keep the website on that browser tab open, put the PC to sleep and wake it up again some time later. The internet connection has thus been disconnected but will now connect again and show the website where I left off. If I continue browsing from there, will it be on a SL or how does that work?

If you use the latest (standalone) version, yes.

No, I am using the version that is in Avast (free) Antivirus. So how does this work then?

Hi, you need to install the standalone version of SecureLine.

Oh, okay! And that will work with the 60-day free trail as well?

Uninstall and re-install may kill the trial. Not 100% sure but . . . .
