Title: providers question
Post by: Marc57 on July 13, 2006, 05:47:01 AM
Hi all, since I don't use any IM or P2P programs is it OK to turn off the providers for these?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah. It's ok.
But they don't harm if you let them on. They won't take resources of your computer  8)

If you don't even want them to appear in your Resident Scanners list, use the add remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and select Change, click next and untick the resident protection items you don't require (see image). You may need to be on-line to do this.
