Hello everyone,
I can not update the software nor the definitions.
What happens is that I click on Update, the completion bar is colored by a dash, but hangs after the DNS Resolving and Sending Statistics steps. This is what appears immediately after:

Here's what I tried to do after looking in both the Italian and English forums of Avast:
> waited for two day and try again
> changed DNS (Google DNS)
> do a Repair and restart
I would like to avoid re-installation if possible (I remember the last time I did it was a very long and complicated thing).
Any suggestions?

PS: exscuse me if some message is not the same that you could find in Avast; they are translations from Italian

> OS: Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
> Other security related software installed: ZoneAlarm (I tryed to pause it also)
> Which AV(s) did you use before Avast: none

I'll suggest that you start by updating to the latest version.
