Avast told me to uninstall an unsafe addon 'English language pack' and now firefox is all blank except this text '<window id="main-window"
^'
I uninstalled firefox and clean install but it is the same.

I have the same issue. Avast just told me to uninstall unsafe addons and broke firefox
<window id="main-window"
^

I think I have a solution. The problem is on the Firefox Profile, specific in addons.json and addonStartup.json.lz4 files. In order to fix your profile without loosing everything by creating a new one, I suggest you to create a new profile in another folder (press windows+R and write: firefox -p)
After that you need to go to the new firefox profile and copy both files and replace the old ones. At least it worked for me :)

FIXED: had to rename mozilla files to mozilla.old. copied them as a backup and reinstalled firefox.

Someone else had the same thing, i think it was a false positive and removing the language pack messed firefox up. (it had a 2 star rep) I know some addons can be intrusive but it would be nice if avast told you why it was bad.

Hi guys, I forwarded it to the devs.

Note: It should be fixed now.
