Avast Safe Zone is not supported anymore:  https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Use-SafeZone-Browser (https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Use-SafeZone-Browser)
Avast Secure Browser:  https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Secure-Browser-FAQ (https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Secure-Browser-FAQ)

Strongly recommend you uninstall old SafeZone Browser yourself as Administrator and install Secure Browser as Administrator asap.  Reboot after uninstall and again after installing new.

Thanks for the reply to my earlier post. Need help once again for this same issue. Went to my Control Panel to uninstall Avast Safe Zone. Located Avast Premier Program and clicked on Change to uninstall Safe Zone Browser and it's not listed. What would be the next option for me to safely remove my Safe Zone Browser and to install the new Secure Browser? Thanks for your help!

AFAIK you can't install ASB on Vista or XP.  In any case, Avast SafeZone Browser is not supported anymore also.

Would seem to be the reason why you have the update error you noted in your first post.

Vista is EOL (End Of Life) as is XP and not supported anymore.  The only avast browser you can run on Vista is Avast SafeZone browser, and that is EOL too.

>Support for all operating systems does not last forever.<

When support ends, so does running a secure system, that ends when support ends too.
