Title: avast! warnings again not displaying properly
Post by: RejZoR on July 19, 2006, 10:52:05 AM
That yellow/red popup above taskbar is again not showing right away on detection, but it shows after you decide what to do with the file. Very annoying as it used to work properly before...
Please look into this (again).

Yup, same here. The warning tag comes after the Warning window even if the option "Check for full screen applications" is disabled  :-\

Behavior confirmed here too  :P
I mean, on the on-demmand scanning, the tag appears after the window message.

Guys, are you sure this happens with the "detect full screen apps before displaying popups" option disabled?

According to the analysis done here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20517.15 it was quite clearly caused by this option.

BTW Tech, on-demand scanner? What do you mean? Those messages are for on-access only. :P

Well i don't understand why should these two be related as regular warning mesages aren't full screen at all...
Especially because i like that update popup, just don't want to see it while i'm playing games as it corrupts everything.

You're right. My fault. I was rewiewing what was being 'scanned' when that happened. It was NOT an avast scanning.
Anyway, I'm with the Professional version and it's very rare to see that message.

BUT:
I'm fully sure that after A P2P download is finished the automated action for this provider is done: the infected file is automatically sent to Chest.
But, the message appears on the bottom of the window...

Silent Mode is disabled into Standard Shield settings.

Well, not always, but yes it happens. If you want I can make a dump(where the option is disabled and/or another dump where the option is enabled)  file and upload it to your ftp server ?
