Title: Smart scan exclusions
Post by: Jason169 on October 29, 2018, 07:19:51 PM
I'm having an issue with an executable that Avast is affecting negatively.  If Avast is not installed, the process works without issues.  When I run the Smart Scan, the process fails to run.  Process ran fine before upgrading to new Avast version.  Here are some main points:
-Using cloud tool
-Nothing but File Shield is turned on
-File shield exclusions setup and confirmed
I have a folder called D:\Partech that is supposed to be excluded in all scans.  I've added this folder to the "Quick Scan" that's setup in Custom Scans section.  Nothing seems to prevent the AV from getting in the way of this process.

Questions
1 - where can I confirm that the Smart scan has the correct exclusions?
2 - is there a log file that I can find what's being scanned during a smart scan?  There's C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Business Agent\log.txt, but that doesn't tell you a ton.  It does say "custom scan" when I run a Smart Scan, but I can't find anything that directly states that it controls the settings.
