Title: Infection Blocked
Post by: REDACTED on December 03, 2018, 06:29:38 PM
Hi! So, I keep getting popup windows saying Infection Blocked. Every time I open up a new tab/new window another Infection Blocked popup occurs. See attachments for screenshots of the Infection Blocked messages.

I've cleaned my cache and I've also run scans on Disk Utility, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, and Avast. However, for each scan, there weren't any viruses detected on my computer.

Do I have a virus on my computer? And if so, does anyone know how to get rid of the virus?

Thanks!

Hello,

you are safe. Browsers are known to remember pages they have visited (even though Avast may have stopped them from doing so) and sometimes access them when you search or type to address bar. Try clearing browser history, eg. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/clear-your-browsing-history-sfri47acf5d6/mac .

Kind regards,
