Title: Passwords when logging on from different computer
Post by: Robert975 on December 17, 2018, 11:28:03 PM
I have refrained from using Avast  password manager because I frequently use other PCs while on vacations and/or trips.  How can I logon to a website with an Avast generated password in these circumstances ?  I certainly can not remember such a convoluted password as is generated but that is kind of the point for using a generator.  What do I do when I am away from my PC ?
Thanks.

Hi Robert975,

If you are using another PC temporarily, I'm afraid that there isn't a way to access the saved Passwords logins from that PC (as you would have to download and install Avast Antivirus and log into your Avast account to access your saved logins).

If you have a smartphone though, you could download the Passwords app on your smartphone, and then synchronize the logins saved on your PC. You could then check the login information on the smartphone as needed, and the data would be stored securely.

Please see this support article on how to synchronize Passwords data across your devices if you choose to do this: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/255/
