Title: help for a new user on vpn and security centre
Post by: nrg1975 on December 23, 2018, 02:49:34 PM
Sorry for the silly question I am new to all this.

I have active licences for Internet security, Cleanup and just today bought secure line for a year. I have activated it and checked the weblink to see it works and it says it is fine. However in the security and privacy center in the secure browser it says trial expired above the VPN icon. If i click on it it takes me to the site to pay full price again. Is it supposed to come up as installed or something? I dont know if I am protected when I am browsing or not. All the rest of the icons in the security center have a tick expect fingerprinting (which I dont think I have bought). I assumed the security center would show I have secure line installed, very confusing. Also on my online account you cant get an activation code for cleanup (says error 305) though I know it is installed.

Sorry lots of questions but I am just not sure what is running and what is not. Any help greatly appreciated.

Same here, that's a bug in ASB.

Always good to check vpn connection with this avast checker:  http://securedns.ff.avast.com/ (http://securedns.ff.avast.com/)

If it's green you're good to go, if it is red, you're not.

I have this bug too. I've contacted support and eventually they said it's something they're aware of and working to fix it.

A hotfix would be nice :)
