We have Avast Business Antivirus and have the Avast UI password protected. Is there a way to allow the "Scan selected items for viruses" without requiring a password to do so? We want regular users to have the option to manually scan selected files without needing the password. It seems like the Avast console should have a granular way to assign password requirements so we can do something like lock the UI (so users can't do things like turn off protections) but allow users to do manual scans themselves.

Just for future reference (in case either of you want to check the status of these bugs), our development/production team combined CBC-7826 into CBC-7696.

You can always contact us directly via phone or chat. If you are using the Cloud Management (web) Console at https://business.avast.com/ (https://business.avast.com/) log into your account, click the Help & Support button in the bottom-left corner, click the center Contact our support button, and click either Start a chat or Call us button. Ask for the current status of the bug ticket CBC-7696 when you call or chat with us. Our development/production team is still working on it as of Tuesday, 17 September 2019.

AVAST is working to fix this issue in the next engine update, 20.1
