Post by: TheSharku on January 04, 2019, 09:24:38 PM
When I tried to install Avast Free from it's website today, for a clean install, this happened. Didn't happen when I tried installing Internet Security.

As far as i know, free versions are downloaded from Cnet and premiums directly from Avast, might be problem of Cnet. But everything I just said might also be wrong

@ TheSharku
Are you running uBlock Origin?

Are you using these two links for Avast Free?
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe (http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe)
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe (http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe)
Please note both domains are files.avast.com, and nothing about cnet.com is in the url.
No issues downloading from here.
