Title: Scheduling Issue
Post by: twoshoes2 on January 05, 2019, 06:29:55 PM
Had to completely uninstall and then reinstall Avast Free today on Windows 7 Home Premium.  Uninstalled via the Control Panel and then Avast Clear.  Downloaded the latest online installer and it installed Ver. 19.1.2360 dated Jan. 3, 2019.  After the install I ran a Smart Scan and all was OK.  Then went into the settings for Full Virus Scan to setup a scheduled scan and that option was no longer available on the settings menu.  It only was available on a Custom Scan settings menu.  Has scheduling been eliminated with this latest release because I also have a Windows 7 Home Laptop running Ver. 18 and it is available on that version?

Thanks for the reply.  I went to your link and saw another person has the same problem as I do.  I went to show old settings as recommended but still could not find anything there regarding scheduling.  Am I missing something?

If you don't find what you need there, you've to set up a custom scan.

OK - I just updated my Avast Internet Security.  I then went to check to see when it was scheduled to run. I came across the same thing.  There appears to be no way to schedule any type of scan.  I don't quite understand.  Is this something new?
