I just had to re-install windows 7, and before that I imported all my logins from chrome to the passwords app, thinking (and nothing told me otherwise) that they would all be saved in my online account, but nope that isn't the case, after installing Avast internet security, and re-activating it using my Avast login info, I then proceeded to open the passwords app from within the Avast GUI and lo and behold no passwords, so now I have website and online information that relied on the password app, so now I can't get into any of the sites, and I'm not going to keep on clicking 'Forgot password' on the sites, because I've actually ran out of remembered passwords, which leaves using a password generator, and writing them all down, and taping it to the wall, for all to see.
I thought the idea of having a password system to store logins etc etc is so that if anything should happen, (such as installing/re-installing the OS", then I should be able to recall the logins.

It remembers your saved information provided you sign into your PW Mgr with the correct password.

I looked at that section and as far as I can tell there is a sync backup to the Avast cloud, which I did enable shortly after I activated the paid version of internet security, but I can't find any emails that reference the 'recover' link for my synced device, and all advice on the Avast support page always refer to an email that was send when I first turned on sync, but there is no email at all, anywhere in my email account, I did a global text search, and found nothing.
I used this in my email search engine:- in:anywhere from: Avast subject:(Your backup identity) and it found ziltch, zero, nada, nothing.
I even installed Passwords on my Android tablet and tried to turn on the sync, and all it said was to check an active device for the authorization, and the only active device is this computer that I'm using right now, and that too says to check the synced device, which is my tablet, so now I have a continuous loop of nothing, the first one says to check the second and the second says to c heck the first, this is totally infuriating, I might just as well use a pen and paper pinned to the wall, at least it'll still be there every time I use the computer.
