In this version I can get a schedule any more. It has been removed from the interface. I like doing a daily scan and now schedule is not available. I have Free Avast: 19.1.2360 (build 19.1.4142.0)
-
Scheduling is still there:

My question is why are you running daily scans?
Once you know your system is clean, anything added, opened or changed is check by your AV.
Why run a scan ???
-
It is not there. Here is the same screen shot of my Avast that is updated and new. Under all types of scans the schedule does not show that I can set up. Look at my screen shot please.

Now you should be able to follow my screenshot and get to the settings.

The scheduled scan option is not in settings - it is accessed from the front screen "Protection" button.
Protection->Virus Scans->Custom Scans->Create a New Scan->Scheduling

Correct. Exactly as shown in the screenshots. :)

Wow, wonder why they wanted to hide things? Oops forgot. Chrome hides things. Gmail hides things. Yahoo mail hides things. Actually Yahoo mail copied Gmail. Ok we are in the "Hide Me Generation" of computers. Icons which used to be easy to access have turned into dots. I think they call them: vertical ellipsis
Pretty soon our spouses are going to be dots!

It's a new year. Avast wants to make sure you're aware of that. :)

If Avast wanted me to know about this then I would of found it in the help files. I only found this thru searching thru Avast forums. They also made me recreate my password and did not recognize my username in these forums. So maybe they don't keep good records. I have all my passwords and usernames on paper so I know they should of worked. Just a hassle trying to get to the bottom of this problem. Hiding the schedule under Custom scans. Who would of guessed that? It's bad policy to change things for the worst. I have been doing computers since Windows 3.1.

My problem, other that it taking me forever to find scheduling custom scans, is that the old scheduling for full scans hasn't changed. Anyone know how to fix that?
