Title: Software Updater queries on 19.1
Post by: 50040Leviathan on January 18, 2019, 03:28:11 PM
Since update to 19.1, I noticed that SmartScan (Avast AV Free) has not reported 'vulnerable software' in its checks.
Is that correct?
That seems a retrograde step.
It was very convenient to run SmartScan once a week on my old Win7 Dell laptop (essentially only now used for streaming audio/video while I'm working on another machine) to make sure it was up to date.

I have found that Software Updater has moved to the 'Performance' menu, so I know it's still there, but it is less convenient than just running SmartScan.

Second question: How can I determine what the Updater checks?
I have Chrome and Opera browsers installed, and I know these used to be checked by Avast, but they are now missing from the list.
(My list now only shows VLC, Foxit, Irfanview and Firefox.)
