Title: Cannot access TED/Footprints
Post by: jon.rogers on January 20, 2019, 08:22:33 PM
Just recently, with AVAST last update I think, my system stopped being able to find my TED/footprints local webpage to check my home energy usage.  I get a "cannot find the server at www.TED6000.com"  TED works fine on my cell phone and is functioning. It also was working on my home computers previously.
Upon checking with TED's support page, I see this message.
"Do you have Avast or AVG Firewall and Virus Protection on your computer?  These programs recently added plug-ins that block locally generated web pages.   We have raised the issue with them – as have other affected industries – home automation, home security, etc. "

What can I do?  Help?!

Set the Avast FW to private mode.
