Title: Avast Link in email signature
Post by: zEEbra on January 30, 2019, 07:30:23 PM
Hi,

Everytime I send an email, I notice that there is a signature with a link to download Avast attached to every email I send from all my emails.
I checked the settings of my emails, and as per my settings there is no signature.
Then how did Avast manage to attach a signature with a downloadable link to all my emails. How can I get rid of this signature.

The signature goes like this "I am protected online with Avast Free Antivirus. Get it here — it’s free forever."

the free forever is a downloadable link that leads to Avast download.

I want to get rid of this signature. How can I do that?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't say what Avast version you have, the latest is 19.1.2360 as the means to change it in the UI differ from avast version 18.8.xxxx.

If avast 19.1.xxxx then AvastUI > Menu > Settings > Protection > Core Shields > Mail Shield > uncheck the 'Add a signature to the end of sent emails.'
