What's the latest virus definitions update? Right now on the afternoon of 02-07-2019 my avast shows 190206-10. Is that correct? I don't recall a series of updates for a day reaching THAT high. Shouldn't there have already been an update for TODAY?
Is the update function on my avast perhaps messed up?

190207-6

@ Chim,
I did see 19.0206-10 also, same as you. Likely a busy day at Avast. Maybe some vps fixes or deletions during the day?
As user James Moriarty says, current version is 190207-6, which I also have at the present time.
I wouldn't put too much stock in the actual vps version update number as these updates are basically roll-up updates of both prior vps updates and streaming updates merged together.
-->It's the streaming updates that offer the most current protection, tho. I'd worry some if these were to stop coming in.

Thanks, James ... mchain.
Right before going to bed last night, I checked and did see that 190207-6.
The reason it really concerned me is that I had recently been having computer problems and just the day before yesterday I had reinstalled avast twice among performing some other maintenance / troubleshooting things. So, I wasn't sure if my avast hadn't gotten stuck at that date and maybe just kept piling up the virus definitions updates on that same last date.
Right now I see 190208-4. So looks like the update function is working fine.
Thanks again, guys.
