Hi All,
Despite having Avast, my computer got infected with some kind of malware that throws pop-up ads that say "Google Chrome www.mapsnow.co" Anybody else having this problem? Any advice on how to get rid of them and make sure that Avast prevents further infections?
Thanks!

Had something similar happen to me yesterday. I got rid of the pop-ups by deleting all the Chrome cookies. There might be any easier way but the cookie deletions worked for me.

Hi.
Clean temporary files and cookies, then pass the tool:https://es.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
If it does not work, Restore the default settings of Chrome, consider if you have activated the synchronization with your google account, it may be copied in the cloud.

Thank you @Gandalf1369 and @jperl13, I'll do as you suggest.
