It's gone. Should I be worried? Should I reinstall? I've tried repairing the thing already. Aside from that, there's no symptoms that my PC has malware. Ran Avast and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and both came up clean.

what options are found behind the custom scan button?
Boot time scan does not have any better detection, it is a special tool to be used if you have problem removing something already detected

so I can't access it at the moment. Will update this thread once the scan finishes.

It should be on the main Scans screen.
@ spywareparanoia
What avast version number are you using ?

What avast version number are you using ?
Program version: 19.3.2369 (build 19.3.4241.445)
virus definitions version: 190402-2
UI version: 1.0.356
That's the most recent one right? @_@
Scan completed. Nothing found.

Now my image was from my win10 laptop and that has 19.2.2364 so one version before yours, but I don't think that would change so much in the version update as such. But there have been some UI updates so I don't know if that may be the case here.
I will update that win10 system and see if it does change.

OK, Update complete and reboot, I now have avast free version 19.3.2369 (build 19.3.4241.445), the same as yours.
No change for me the Boot Time Scan option is still there.

Is it possible that I've been hit with malware? @_@
All Malwarebytes and Avast scans have turned up empty though. My internet speed is fine and gaming performance even with demanding games (like Hunt Showdown and DOOM) are still godawesome.
Help?

Is it possible that I've been hit with malware?
And it would remove bootscan from avast and let the rest work? ..... naaaaaa
Uninstall - Follow instructions and reboot when done

Reinstall avast and reboot https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=225874.0
any change?

I rather doubt that, it wouldn't be that selective. Time to follow through with that reinstall that you spoke of in your first post as the Repair hasn't resolved it.

Looks more like you aren't looking in the right place.
