Title: Firefox 66 Disabled Avast Online Security, Privacy Badger
Post by: jade11 on May 04, 2019, 05:36:41 AM
Windows 7 64 bit.  Firefox announces Add-ons disabled.  Cannot "verify" them: Avast Online Security, Avast Price checker and Privacy Badger.  When I try to download newest version of Online Security or Privacy Badger, I get an error message "Download failed. Check your connection".  Is this Firefox's answer to the MitM critique or something else, a virus or tracker infiltrating Firefox?  I did all the usual things: cleared cash, rebooted, even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.  Now running boot scan on the PC.  Making this report by mobile phone.

Any ideas?  I don't like running the browser without the security and privacy working.

Cross posting to Firefox forum.

Thanks,

Hi, it's a known FF bug, see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1548973

Noted signing only disabled once per day at

Wait until it's past midnight on 2019-05-04 UTC.
Had FF running at midnight UTC last night and, pow! all 7(!) of my add-ons were disabled at once.  Luckily, was running FF in a sandbox, so restoring all 7 was as simple as closing and re-opening the browser.
