Title: avast!4 Home/Pro
Post by: Flintstone on January 13, 2004, 07:26:00 PM
Hi ,
Avast 4 was working ok with Windows XP pro and also Outlook Express 6 .
Suddenly after 1 week , I could only send emails if attachment is not bigger than 125 KB , more or less . An attachment from 500 Kb wont't go trough anymore , I get error from OE  : time out . Which means that the email need to much time to be sent .
Any advice ?
Thanks

You can:

1. Change the Outlook timeout (Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced > Timeout).

2. Change the avast! timeout (On-line Protection > Internet Mail provider > Custom (Customize) > Advanced > Timeout.

3. Disable the outbound mail scanning (On-line Protection > Internet Mail provider > SMTP).

Hope this help  ;)

Sorry for the 'bad' English... Now I have my 'translated' avast but I cannot have the English version both updated by the setup file... It's a long journey (http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=2250).

Wellcome to forums!  ;)
