Title: What does Delete do in Avast?

I ran a scan and came up with a number of infected files.

It looks like I have an option to Delete them in Avast.

Is that effectively telling Avast to Delete them from my computer or do I need to do something directly myself on my computer to get them deleted from my computer?

Hi,
AV moves the files that were identified as threats to its Chest. It's a safe place where the files are kept. You can Restore a file from the chest. Or you can Delete it forever.
