These can be removed in paid versions of Avast - AvastUI > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them.

@ Pondus, this support article doesn't apply to Avast in program ADs - this is for standard avast popups not Ads.  Avast in program ADs are a fact of life/price in the free version.

Ads can be removed in paid versions of Avast.
AvastUI > Menu> Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them.

Thanks for the heads up but there is no option in that link path to uncheck ads.

I see allow usage data and share threat information.

I have paid for the SecureLine feature 5 license option and have have free anti virus.

Hi
As stated above by both DavidR and Bob3160, Adds "can be removed in paid versions of Avast - AvastUI > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them".

Seeing you are using Avast Free Anti Virus the adds are simply the price you pay for an excellent Free Anti Virus.
You could purchase a Paid for Version and then have the ability to stop/removes promotional add... :)

So I think you're saying paying for SecureLine Avast service does not qualify as being a "Paid Version?"

Not a paid version of the AV product. I run the free version of Avast but purchased a license for SecureLine.
With a custom install of the free version of Avast. the amount of promotional ads is not really a problem in my humble opinion.
