Title: Business versions of Avast - Password Manager cannot be removed and tabs open
Post by: Andy261 on June 01, 2019, 03:58:52 PM
This is getting silly and quite an old issue that has never been properly addressed in these business versions.

1) I use Lastpass which I pay for with Google Chrome.

2) I do not need nor want to install "avast passwords" at all ever.

Please explain why in the component section it is impossible to remove avast passwords?
and also what right does avast have to continually open new tabs in Chrome and force/prompt me to install avast passwords.

This is clearly extremely unacceptable for a supposed business class product
which is enforcing Avast's monopoly with this forced installation prompt,

I look forward to your response,

Please rectify this as soon as possible as I am sure you are aware, this should not be happening.
Why would anyone want to renew with behaviour of Avast Business such as this?

Best Regards,

Andy Nelson

You may choose not to install Avast Passwords whether you using the Managed or Unmanaged...

If using Managed, log into your Avast Management Console, click on Device Settings in the left panel, select the settings template (such as Default), scroll down to Passwords on the list of components (features), click the 3 dots to the right, and then click on Uninstall this component.

If using Unamanaged, click on Customize during the installation, and disable (unbcheck) the Passwords option.
